Yesterday I picked up my ‘new’ fridge. It’s an original 1950s Electrolux that I got on eBay for a mere $11.51! It is a lot bigger than I expected. I’m pretty sure the seller said that it was only 600 high, but it is almost chest height to me! Maybe he was measuring in inches!
Anyway, it needs some work. It’s very dirty and doesn’t run at the correct temperature. Below are some of the photos I have taken.

Sorry to be a pain but is yours running a compressor to make it run then cause all I have is the gas fittings at the bottom mine looks exactly the same just wondering if I’m missing something cheers for your help

Mark, this is an old fashioned absorption refrigerator – no compressor. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Absorption_refrigerator
