I got my ‘invite’ via email to compete in next year’s Gut Full Marathon which has now been renamed the Felt Marathon. After a competitive tendering process, Mountain Bike Australia awarded the 2009 Felt MTBA Marathon Championships to Big Hill Events and their annual Wandong race.
Unfortunately, the race is the morning after I arrive back from my 3 week South African holiday which will make it a little tough. I’m not too worried about the training, it’s the late night arrival after an inter-continental flight that worries me!
