Recovery ride

Despite being battered, bruised and scratched from yesterday’s rugby match, I decided to go for a short mountain bike ride today. I loaded the bike and headed up to Mt Evelyn around 3.30pm to ride a section of the Warburton Trail and a short section of single track.

It was chilly on the trail. There were quite a few walkers, cyclists and horses out this afternoon which made going quite slow in sections. The short single track section was very wet and I had loads of fun in the thick mud (except now my bike is covered in the gloop!). The ride back to the Cog Cafe’ was tough as it is uphill all the way back!

Final stats: 13.71km in 46min 20 seconds.

    Kudos; glad you enjoyed it.
Me, I’ll be happy never to pedal again. I like mine with the engine in it much better 😉

I also rode a Mnt bike on the weekend. Not something I usually do and most of it was single track. I got more confident as I went on and REALLY enjoyed it. I think I will be doing more off that. My sister might not get her bike back for a while.

Once the bug bites, it’s pretty hard to give up!

      Time is my biggest constraint!
