Some of you may have noticed, but I doubt it! I have moved my blog. How, when, why?
When I started this blog, I had a website with a blog in a separate folder. Now I have moved the blog to the root folder. Not as simple as it sounds.
It’s easy to move the posts. Export your WP blog to a file (or in my case, to four files – there is a file size limit) and then import it into your new WordPress site. That’s the easy part. Then comes the re-installation of all the extras – theme, widgets, pimped pages, stat counters, spam counters, spam fighters, photo galleries (plus import all the photos from the old gallery), plug-ins, etc, etc
Thankfully, it is now all done! I hope…
If you spot any problems, please let me know. Oh, I nearly forgot. All attempts to find my old site ‘should‘ be forwarded to this one. Don’t forget to change your bookmarks and feed readers.
