Proof is in the pudding

Well, we’re over Christmas and heading for New Years. And the temperatures keep dropping. Wednesday night it dropped down to -10C. Yesterday it snowed in London. The east coast and Kent has had a good 10cm of snow.

I worked on Christmas Day. It was OK. A little boring as the regulars avoided the cold and spent the time indoors with their families. We eventually sat down to Christmas dinner at around 6.30pm

Deb and her Mum had cooked up a feast! Pate, soup, turkey with all the trimmings, Christmas pudding with custard, coffee and mince pies… it was all there! As was the Sambuca! And the wine. After dinner, we all vegged on the sofas in front of the TV until about midnight before hitting the hay!

Of course, we also had our traditional Christmas Eve. I only finished work around 1am, so they all waited for me. We opened our pressies and then drank champagne (the real stuff – Moet!) and ate pizza until about 3am! Yes, they even deliver on Christmas Eve in London!

So now we are awaiting the New Year. Another boring night at work for me. At least I can look forward to my holiday in France in the second week of January! It’s what keeps me going!

Dude, that picture looks awesome. I love snowy streets.

Sounds like the trip to France is going to be a good one.

Stunning pic Cuz! Sounds chilly there brrr! Hope your new year was great – I had a couple of sambuca’s in your honour 🙂
btw France, 2nd week of January? Me too – we’re going skiing then. Definitely something to look forward to, although I’ll be swapping sambuca for OB’s then…
