Sorry, but I can’t resist another rugby post after yesterday’s fantastic game! Yes, we won!
What a great game! Our forwards dominated and our defense was absolutely awesome. To contain the All Black backline (aka Gear, Umaga, MacDonald) is a feat in itself, but to hold out for 80 minutes is simply amazing!
Not only that, but it’s the first time in 29 years that we’ve beaten the Kiwis at Newlands!
Needless to say, we watched the game at Shepherd’s Bush Walkie again and the atmosphere was electric! We (Bok supporters) were outnumbered at least 2 to 1 by the Kiwi supporters and after the first 10 minutes (we were leading 13-0) the Kiwis were VERY quiet.
All in all an exciting game and an even better day for the Bokke! Keep it up guys!
