I finally got back into some geocaching over the past two months, with a total of 17 finds. Not a big number (especially for some), but I’m not a numbers chaser and I have a few other hobbies such as my mountain bike and fishing.

One of my favourite finds was “Blue Hills” (GCPQR7) up in the hills above Noojee. The view was fantastic!

I also started to clear out the caches around Warrandyte, but this was more time consuming than I thought and I had to go back more than once to get through these. The rains that we’ve been having haven’t really helped my cause!

Hopefully with the summer weather coming around, I’ll be able to grab more caches in the coming months. I’d really like to hit 300 before the end of the year.

The big news is that the Australian Mega Event has finally been published and I have convinced the wife that I should go. She isn’t interested, so it looks like Josh (who will be nearly 4 by then) and I will be taking the trip to Wagga Wagga at Easter. The event page can be found here: http://coord.info/GC1YJ5R
