So, I finally hit 200 finds after 2years and 3 months of caching! I’m not a numbers chaser (can you tell!), but it’s always good to hit a landmark find.
I was planning on doing a cache called “Double Century” (GC18GVT) for my 200, but when I checked the logs the day before heading out, I discovered that it had been muggled so I decided to go for an FTF instead (as I had done with my first 100).
The FTF had had 2 DNFs on it before I got there, but the hider had updated the clue, so when I arrived I only searched for a short while before grabbing the cache (Watch out for the Trains – GC1M93M).
I was actually on my bike on the Warburton Rail Trail and had stopped here to pick up the clues on my way to Woori Yallock. There were too many muggles about, so I couldn’t search for the cache. I continued my ride to Woori Yallock hoping that nobody would grab the cache in my absence. On my return journey to Mt Evelyn, there was nobody about, so I dived into the brush for a quick find.
Nice easy find and a great way to celebrate 200 finds!
