It’s school holidays in Victoria at the moment which means that I can take a few days off to enjoy time with the kids!
On Monday I caught up with a friend and his son (who is also on holiday) and we went up to Lilydale Lake for the day. The kids played on the playground for about 2 hours, we had a picnic and then they attempted to catch some fish. No easy feat considering the attention span of a 5 year old.
Hook in, hook out. Talk, talk, talk. Check the bait again. And again. Play fight with each other, lose interest, hook in again. After about an hour, they didn’t want to ‘fish’ anymore. Imagine that!
