Hi again,
Darrell’s cocktail party was great! We all had heaps of fun and man, what a great braai! We all pigged out on boerewors, sosaties and chicken (if you don’t know what I’m talking about, ask a South African!)
Our manager’s “Christmas” party was also great fun. We all went out for dinner (Mexican and half-price cocktails) and then did a pub-crawl down Broad Street in Birmingham. We ended up in a 70’s bar called “Flares” and what a laugh! We ended up having all the boys on stage dancing to “Come on Eileen”! Some 20 year old even tried to chat up our boss!
Needless to say, the next day everyone was very hungover!
Colin, a friend of Deb’s from Melbourne, is staying with us at the moment. We took him and Brad to Bath for the day yesterday. It gave me goosebumps to be back there. I also had the honour of bumping into ‘fatboy’ Murray, my old boss, who never even said hello. The Oliver (the pub I used to run) looks really nice since it’s refurb. And I got to buy some delicious fudge!
