This past week has been spent preparing for the imminent arrival of my folks from South Africa for a three week holiday. This included finishing off our house and getting a room ready for them.
All of Saturday was spent installing a wall unit in our lounge. Az had spent the past two weeks building it in his factory but Saturday was the big day. We started around 2pm with some basic levelling. By 6pm the unit install was complete and we were half way through our first case of bourbon cans. By 9pm the kids were in bed, the footy was finished and we were packing up the pizza boxes in preparation for a game or two of Buzz on the PS2. By 3am I was still undefeated champion of the world! Well, on Buzz anyway! The rest of the week was spent moving baby Isi out of her room and into ours and turning her room into a guest bedroom complete with double bed, drawers and a bedside lamp. The folks arrived on Thursday night, delayed by 3 hours but happy to be here at the same time as their luggage. This is a short stop-frame video of the installation: Installing the wall unit
