Well, not really. Firstly, 'cos I think that Valentine's is a money making scam and secondly 'cos I've spent the last 2 days sick in bed and I'm back at work today!
I got caught out by some bug on Monday night. I woke up around 3am thinking that the house was on fire when actually it was me. At 6am I got up, had my morning shower and dressed. By 6.30am I was back in bed! I slept most of the day until Deb chased me out of bed at around 6pm for something to eat - not that I could get much down. Getting back to the Valentine's Day scam, did you know that it was all started by Chaucer? As a matter of fact, according to the Roman calendar of Saints' Days, February 14th is actually Saint Cyril and Methodius Day. There were several St Valentines, one which was beheaded on Feb 14th in around 200AD. Not very romantic! So, next time you spend a fortune on roses for that someone special on Valentine's Day, save a thought for the real guy (or save you money for St Patrick's Day in March - now there's a guy worth spending money on! )
