So the folks have flown home, I've had my op and I'm back at work. TFI it's Friday!
As great as it was having my parents over here on holiday for three weeks, it's nice to have our home back again. It's just a little too small for 4 adults and 2 kids to share for so long. Besides all the stuff that we did on our travels west, we also spent a day in Healesville at the Sanctuary. No, it's not one of those rehab places for the rich and famous, it's a haven for indigenous wildlife. We got to see some fantastic wildlife including the elusive Tasmanian Devil and the even more sinister Platypus. These are both nocturnal animals, so we were very lucky to catch them out playing. Last Friday I went in for surgery on my left thigh. Nothing serious, just the removal of a lipoma that had become uncomfortable because of all the sitting I now do at work. It's all worked out fine, just a little (OK, a lot!) of bruising on the back of my leg. I was even on crutches for a few days. This weekend we will be hosting the Smiths at our place. Hopefully it won't be a replay of the last time we had a dinner party.
