We've decided to use this as our family blog with updates of our day-to-day life. And today we went to the races. It's Melbourne Racing Carnival this week and today was Emirates Day which means family day and loads of kids.
We caught the 10.20 train into the city and then another (very busy) train out to Flemington Race Course, arriving just in time for race 2 to pass us by! We found somewherein the pavilion to sit and then decided to place our first bet. Our first trifecta won! And that was our last win of the day too, with only one other favourite winning a race and a 100-1 outsider winning the main race! I have placed a picture of the main race on my photoblog here. We finally caught another packed train back to Southern Cross station at around 4.30pm.
