Another ‘Yes’ man
OK, I've seen this on 2 other blogs now (Goblin & Ordinary Life) and it looks likes a little bit of innocent fun, so here goes... Here are the rules – and let me know if you have also done it. I think it makes some interesting reading….. 1. You can ONLY answer Yes or No. 2. You are NOT ALLOWED to explain ANYTHING unless someone [...]
Rugby Update
I got another mention in this week's (late) match report. Best Defender: "For the second week in a row Del wins this award. He kept chasing down the attacking players all game. He also tackled courageously and one tackle saw him knock the ball out of his opponent's arms. It is great to see how he has fitted into the team and the progress that [...]
Rugby Revenge
It was worth every minute! I had predicted a 10 point win. I sat up with cold pizza and warm Milo until 3.30am on Sunday morning watching the Boks beat the All Blacks! It was a bit of revenge for the 19-0 drubbing handed to us at Newlands last year. I didn't think that the Boks played magnificently, but they did enough to beat the Kiwis. They [...]

Now I'd just like to point out to the rest of you that I haven't weighed 75kg since I was about 16 years old! I set myself a target of 85kg which I managed to just reach. It was hard work and I didn't really see the point of starving [...]
The important things in life!
When we ran onto the pitch for rugby training last night, it was soggy and squishy underfoot. The temperature was a chilly 3C and I was happy that I'd worn a few layers to keep me warm. I ran in three quick tries before getting tackled into the freezing cold mud. I was NOT a happy chappy! I ran in two more tries to prove how upset I was! In the [...]
Pizza, wine and two giggling girls.
Last night I went off to rugby practise around 6.45pm. It was a mere 9C outside, but we all know how tough rugby players are. After an hour of touch (I scored 3 tries!), it was time for the traditional visit to the bar. A couple of beers and a few jokes later, I headed off home at around 9pm. I was about 2 blocks from home when Elmo started [...]
