2008 Melbourne Summer Cycle

I have entered for the Melbourne Summer Cycle which is at the end of February. It's more of a fun ride, but I'll use it as a training ride. It's 40km on tar roads and takes in Melbourne's landmarks including crossing the Westgate Bridge! It's also a charity ride, so if anyone would like to make a donation (all monies go to the MS Society for the [...]

Lilydale training ride

Road ride with loads of climbs. The climb up to Mt Evelyn was the worst! Then a nice long downhill back to Lilydale (4km along the Warburton Rail Trail). Quite a warm day for it too.More details here: Nokia SportsTracker

Training ride

Nice to ride my old route again. This was my fastest time on this route too despite the loose gravel repairs made to the storm damaged tracks. For more info click below.Dandenong Creek to Jells Park loop

She has a head of curly dark hair, but that may change after [...]

See map here.)Then, while doing the downhill [...]

Lilydale to Warburton Rail Trail

Col and I rode the first half of the Lilydale to Warburton Rail Trail today. We cycled as far as Woori Yallock and back again, a total of 43.5km.It is a nice easy ride with a low, shallow climb on the way back. The surface is mainly gritted path and some forest track.I would recommend riding up the Mooroondah Highway from Lilydale station to the [...]
