I went to the UK in 1994 and only returned to SA 6 years later.... I was also VERY close to staying in Australia. Just short of a year in Oz I walked into a travel agents and said "Put me on the next plane out of here!!" She asked why, did I not like the country. I had to say that I loved it and I knew that if I did not leave within the next week I would never go. I also vowed that I would never go back to Australia on holiday. My parents came to SA in 1971, planning on staying for 2 years and then returning to UK. They are still here and have NO intention of leaving.
