Lager brew bottling

I finally got around to bottling my lager on Friday night. Well, actually it was still fermenting when I checked it on Wednesday so I left it a bit longer. It was in the fermenter for a total of 12 days before bottling!

This is also my first attempt at bottling in glass. I soaked the bottles in a steriliser overnight on Wednesday, rinsed them on Thursday then bottled and capped on Friday night. It went quicker than I expected it would considering the number of small bottles needed for a batch. I ended up with 40 small (340ml or 375ml) bottles and twelve 700ml bottles. Listening to the sounds of Pink Floyd probably helped the time pass!

Now I will have to wait a minimum of 2 weeks before they are drinkable.

This is where the lager started.
