I can’t believe it! I thought that my beloved Sharks had actually qualified for the semi-finals of the first ever Super 14! For just under 24 hours, I lived in a state of shock/bliss. Who would have thought that after coming last in the previous competition, we could qualify for the semis.
But then along came the Stormers and ruined the party for everyone! They threw away their game against the Bulls and lost 43-10. Just enough for the Bulls to knock the Sharks out on points difference. By 1 point!! And apparently the Stormers’ game was shocking!
Looks like we’ll have to wait until next season for some silverware… AGAIN!
